About the Project



Wawel Royal Castle launches the project entitled “Multicultural Poland in the times of Sigismund II Augustus”, implemented as part of Promotion of diversity in culture and arts within European cultural heritage, co-financed from the EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 and Norway Grants.


PROJECT DURATION: 1 APRIL 2015 - 30 APRIL 2016

Wawel Royal Castle is the project beneficiary, and Norsk Institutt for Luftforskning (Norwegian Institute for Air Research) from Kjeller is the project partner.
The project is a combination of scientific studies of the collection of tapestries ordered by Sigismund II Augustus, made in Brussels in the years 1550-1560, and an education EEA al programme developed to introduce the target audience to the cultural riches of the Polish Golden Age.
