On Friday, May 22, 2020 the Crown Treasury and Armoury will reopen.

Monday 9:30 am - 1:00 pm, Tuesday-Sunday 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
admission: reg. 25 PLN, red. 15 PLN; free admission on Monday
sale: at the entrance to the exhibition

Dragon's Den
opening hours:
Monday 9:30 am - 4:00 pm, Tuesday-Sunday 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
admission: 7 PLN; children up to age 7 – free
sale: in the ticket machine at the entrance
25 visitors permitted in the Dragon's Den at any given time

Sandomierska Tower

opening hours: Saturday, Sunday 10 am - 5 pm
admission: 7 PLN; children up to age 7 – free
sale: in the ticket machine at the entrance
10 visitors permitted in the Dragon's Den at any given time

Royal Gardens
Entrance (and exit) via the Austrian Gate located in the bastion (Kanonicza Street side)
opening hours: Monday: 9:30 am–4:00 pm, Tuesday–Sunday: 9:30 am–5:00 pm; closed in inclement weather
Admission: 5 PLN (regular), 2 PLN (reduced); cash or card accepted

  • Individual visitors only, no guided tours, no reservations, tickets sold at entrance
  • Length of visit: 30 minutes max.
  • Visitor numbers: no more than 60 people admitted at any one time, no more than 15 people on the terraces at any one time
  • Visitors must maintain safe distances and supply their own masks and hand sanitizer/gloves. We apologize that we are unable to provide hand sanitizer at the entrance.
Dining
The Café near the White Wall is open.
The Trattoria Wawel (restaurant) and the Wawel Café will not reopen at this time.

No eating or drinking in the Royal Gardens and Arcaded Courtyard.

Toilet Facilities
Toilets (fee: 2 PLN) located in the Outer Courtyard (next to the “Lost Wawel” exhibition entrance) will be open.


We look forward to successively reopening Wawel Royal Castle’s exhibitions (including, as promised, the Dutch Study, Italian Study, and Collector’s Cabinet) during future stages of reopening. Reopening dates will be posted as soon as information becomes available.
