Love Confessions at the Piano

Music
We invite you to an exceptional evening dedicated to love as expressed in Polish music and poetry—a meeting of tradition and contemporary music, where great Polish poetry converges with the extraordinary power of human emotion.

Set within the magnificent Senators’ Hall of the Wawel Royal Castle, the evening will feature the official launch of the album “Love Confessions at the Piano” (“Miłosne wyznania przy fortepianie”) and the world premiere of “Love Songs” (“Pieśni Miłosne”) by Mariusz Kramarz.

The stage will feature distinguished Polish artists:

Jacek Ozimkowski – bass,
Anna Łakomy – piano.
The concert program will take the audience on a musical journey through the many facets of love. Alongside the premiere of Mariusz Kramarz’s “Love Songs”, the performance will include selected love-themed songs by Mieczysław Karłowicz—one of the most prominent figures in Polish music at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Mariusz Kramarz’s “Love Songs” are set to the verses of Polish poets: Emil Zegadłowicz, Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer, Zygmunt Różycki, Julian Tuwim, Kazimierz Makuszyński, Bolesław Leśmian, and Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński. In this program, they are paired with the deeply emotional and atmospheric works of Mieczysław Karłowicz, featuring lyrics by Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer, Zygmunt Krasiński, and Jan Iwański. A special guest at the event will be composer Mariusz Kramarz, who will discuss his compositions, his sources of inspiration, and the poetry that served as the foundation for his "Love Songs" (“Pieśni Miłosne”).

"Love Confessions at the Piano" (“Miłosne wyznania przy fortepianie”) is a project that weaves together music, poetry, emotion, and Polish cultural heritage. It also serves to promote contemporary Polish creative work and the Małopolska Region.
