About the coronavirus COVID-19
In connection with confirmed cases of COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in Poland, Wawel Royal Castle has taken preventive measures to reduce potential public health risks.
We ask our guests to act responsibly.
The situation is being monitored on an ongoing basis and steps have been taken to regulate visitor numbers to insure that there are never too many people in the castle rooms at any given time.
We recommend that you follow the health and safety guidelines recommended by the Chief Sanitary Inspector, the Minister of Health, and the World Health Organization.
In compliance with the recommendations of the Chief Sanitary Inspector, Wawel Royal Castle is distributing hygiene products along with information on the proper way to use them in sanitary facilities and intensifying cleaning and disinfection of surfaces in areas with high visitor traffic. Two rooms are also being prepared for people suspected of infection, where they can wait for the arrival of emergency medical services.
